SR-10R-HT

Stereotaxic Instruments for Chronic Use with Rats (Narishige)
Description

A new standard of stereotaxic instrument for chronic experiments.

The new SR-10R-HT has been developed specifically for chronic experiments on rats. Fixation by the chamber frame permits repeated fixations in the same position in an unanesthetized state, thereby enabling not only acute experiments but also chronic experiments without causing damage to the animal. The SR-10R-HT can be used for visual and/or auditory experiments. The head holding device can be removed from the base plate so it can be placed under a microscope.

By replacing the mouse-nose piece with CA-6, the instruments can be used for common marmosets.

chamber frame CFR-1
By bonding the chamber frame onto the head of a rat, repeated fixations in the same position in an unanesthetized state have become possible. Once the chamber frame is fixed on the head, without the need for anesthetization, the rat can be stereotaxically fixed without using the mouth/nose clamp or ear bars, enabling the SR-10R to be used for visual and/or auditory experiments.
