The PHC Series Heater/Cooler Jackets are designed to bring heating and cooling to our classic Series 20 Imaging and Recording Chambers. Accurate temperature control from 5 °C to 50 °C can be achieved using the PHC Series jackets in concert with the SC-20 Dual In-line Solution Heater/Cooler and CL-100 Bipolar Temperature Controller.

Heated or chilled water flows from one of the SC-20 flow lines into the PHC Series Jacket (which is in direct thermal contact with the Series 20 Chamber bottom coverslip). Perfusate is heated or cooled to the same temperature as the chamber by use of the second SC-20 flow line which is fed into the bath of the Series 20 chamber.

The PHC-1 is used for upright microscopes and provides a complete thermal barrier between the chamber-forming coverslip and the local environment. The PHC-2 and PHC-3 are designed for inverted microscopes and provide for either rectangular or round openings. (See specifications for chamber jacket compatibility with specific chambers.)
