IMS-3 Microinjector

Used with SM-15, performs injections into the brain.

Attached to the stereotaxic micromanipulator SM-15, this microinjector is for performing injections into the brain. To adjust the injection volume, different types of syringes (ø5mm –ø10mm) are attached. This model allows direct operation of the syringe plunger.

*Syringe sold separately.

IMS-10 Motorized Microinjector*
     ( *Non-CE-marked)

The IMS-10 Motorized Microinjector is used chiefly in conjunction with the SM-15 Stereotaxic Micromanipulator. With conventional manual injectors, hand vibration inhibits stable injection. In contrast, the motor-driven and remote-controlled IMS-10 permits stable injection without suffering from severe vibration. Unlike manual injectors that do not allow injection at a constant speed, motorized microinjectors enable injection at a constant speed with the aid of speed control and thus provide the user with enhanced reproducibility in replicated experiments. Long hours of sequential injection are possible simply by pressing the button. The IMS-10 accepts a syringe ranging from Ø 7mm Ø10mm OD to facilitate changing injection volumes in accordance with the intended use. Lightweight and compact design causes no disturbance to the experiment performed.

*SR-5M and SM-15 shown in the above photo are sold separately.
