The MP-50 Focus Drive is a Z-axis controller and high­resolution microscope attachment suitable for imaging applications that require remote focus control. The microscope specific adapter couples directly to the fine focus knob and provides access to the full vertical range of the microscope's movement. The coupling design allows the motor to be quickly engaged or disengaged. When disengaged, the microscope can be focused manually from the scope's fine focus knob.

The stand-alone controller completely isolates any motion associated with focusing, preventing vibration from being transmitted during movement. The MP-50 controller allows the user to set a "Zero" reference point anywhere in the Z-axis range.
