The
Coarse controls use cross roller bearing slides.
The Vernier scales allow readings to 0.1 mm. X-axis fine control is
backlash-free and allows readings to 10 µm. All the
controls are closely grouped so that adjustments can be made in any plane with minimum effort. The DC 3K features DC motor drives and fine control micrometers in all three axes.
Left- or right-handed versions of the DC 3K are supplied with a ½” clamp. Standard accessories provided include one microelectrode
holder and a securing bolt and wrench. The 900:1 gear ratio, 0.5 µ steps are possible.
To control the DC 3K order the MS 314 Controller or the 3-axis-joystick-controler STM
3 separately.

STM 3 Controller (order
separately)
|
|
The sophisticated Controller MS 314 (order separately) allows
the control of all three axes. Movements may be
continuous through the use of cross switches, or the controller can cause the DC 3K
to step in defined increments.
The
smallest single-step can be set at approx. 0.5 microns.
This controller nearly eliminates all backlash caused
by mechanical gears when changing direction.
A
remote control for the MS 314 is also obtainable. The 3-axis-joystick-controler STM 3 (order separately)
also controls the three axes. Z-axis moves when the
joystick-button is turned.
